About me.
I’m Jonas, a third year Applied Computer Science student at HOGENT, specialising in AI & Data Engineering.
Next to my studies I run Digital NextStep. Through it I help companies digitalise and automate their processes: ERP migrations to Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central, system integrations and data engineering. Most of that work is taking messy data from an old system, cleaning it with Python and getting it into the new one without anything breaking.

Building integrations between external APIs and the ERP, so data moves between systems automatically instead of being copied over by hand.

Supporting the move to Business Central and automating the full masterdata migration from the old ERP to the new one: items, units of measure, item references, assembly BOMs and bin contents. I also built pipelines that turn messy data into clean data, ready to upload.

What I studied
Specialising in AI & Data Engineering: machine learning with scikit-learn, big data processing with Kafka, Spark and Elasticsearch, statistics, deep learning, database concepts, software development and much more.
A year of music at KASK in Ghent before switching to computer science.
Four years of Economics and Languages, followed by three years at an arts school (Kunsthumaniora) with a focus on music.
